Veneer is a type of wood product made up of a thin layer of natural wood bonded to a stable composite base material. The logs are peeled on a lathe to create very thin sheets, which are then docked to the required moisture content. Veneer can be kiln-dried or green, depending on the buyer’s preference.

Long Core Veneer and Short Core Veneer
Our company offers both long core veneer and short core veneer, which are two different types of veneers used in the manufacturing of plywood.
Long core veneers are cut from the central portion of a log and are ideal for high-grade plywood production due to their uniformity in thickness, grain pattern, and colour. They are also more stable and less prone to cracking and splitting.
Short core veneers, on the other hand, are cut from the outer edges of a log and are typically used in the production of lower-grade plywood. Despite having more defects, such as knots, cracks, and colour variations, they still provide a cost-effective solution.
